Who should pick which
If your research work is mostly digesting your own documents, client notes, transcripts, past reports, NotebookLM's whole design is built around exactly that and answers nothing it can't trace back to a page you gave it. If you need a fast, cited answer pulled from the open realm rather than your own vault, Perplexity fills that different gap, though many travelers already carry a browsing-enabled oracle that covers the same ground.
